Only three stories are in so far. I have written to those who have not submitted and it's likely I'll extend the deadline.

In the meantime, here are all the prompts so we can have some short fic.

I love anything from fluff, crack, romcom, angst, hurt/comfort, to really dark and complex fic...so anything is game. Here is a list of other things I enjoy but if it's not in the DNW section, it's fair game.

5 times + 1 style fics
AU's (I LOVE AU's...especially modern day or different time periods like 1920s, 1940s, WW1/WW2, 1950s, 1980S etc when it comes to Shakespearean works.)
Anti-heros/Sympathetic villains/Villains with principles/Enemies who keep their word
Angst
Biting; kisses, marking, nipping
Banter/Snark/UST
Complicated relationships/We’re both completely fucked up but somehow we work
Catalytic events bringing about an epiphany
Character Study
Detailed exploration of characters thoughts/emotions
Domestic moments
Enemies working together
First times
Forehead touching thing, cuddling/spooning/forehead kisses/hair stroking….touch/touching in general.
Fluff
Forbidden love/Secret relationships/Star-Crossed
Grabbing/pulling at someone's hair
Hurt/Comfort
Missing moments
Neck fetishization/Voice fetishization/Hand fetishization etc.
Possessiveness/Protectiveness
Power dynamics/Power play/Mind games/Power issues
Penance or reform
Roaming hands during kisses, fingers dragging through hair etc
Suducation
""Snowed in"", “rained in"", “stranded together” tropes
Worldbuilding

Triggers and DNWs:
1st/2nd person POV
Animal abuse/death
Abuse/Torture
Heavy BDSM
Non-con/Rape (talking about past canon non-con/rape etc is ok)
Love triangles/Infidelity
Main/Nominated Permanent Character death
Mutilations
Watersports/scat kinks
Menstrual blood play
Porn without plot/emotion driven (I like my smut to at least focus on the character/emotionally driven aspect of it so when it isn't that's when it becomes a DNW)
Trivialization of any abuse/brainwashing characters have suffered

Play:A Midsummer Night's Dream
Characters: Helena!!
Ships: Helena/Demetrius

Helena is my girl! I have loved her since the very first time I read the play. Although I sometimes facepalm at some of her antics, something about her character just has me rooting for her. I would love something where Demetrius falls in love with her not because of the love potion etc but because of Helena herself; like it’s cool if at first it’s due to a love potion/spell/act whatever but then that wears off and it’s real.

Prompts:

~AU Setting Mordern or any other time period Helena is desperately in love with Demetrius and goes to a ‘spell/magic shop’ where the shop owner “Oberon” gives her a love potion.
~1950’s AU High School, Helena is the straight A student/resident nerd and Demetrius is the resident bad boy/Hot Rodder, Helena can’t keep away from...only problem is he doesn't date nerdy girls.
~After being rejected Helena says fuck it and concentrates on herself and becoming the HBIC she’s always been...funny how now suddenly Demetrius wants her.
~I was always looking when you didn’t notice and before I realized it, it became habit.
~Somehow you are the best and the worst thing that has happened to me
~It’s like drowning but you just won’t fucking die-Urban Dictionary of unrequited love" "Play:

Macbeth
Characters: Lady Macbeth!!
Ships/friendships: Lady Macbeth/Macbeth

Lady Macbeth is one fucked up, complexed individual who intrigues, fascinates and scares me lol

Prompts:

~The killer in me is the killer in you
~How do you run away from things that are in your head
~The female of the species is more deadly than the male
~Destroy the part of you that looks for angels in places you know only monsters exist
~Guilt is to the spirit what pain is to the body.
~Be careful who you trust, the devil was once an angel
~I am convinced that different people awaken different beasts in you
~The quickest way to a gentlemen's heart is through the fourth and fifth rib
~I was your cure, and you were my disease. I was saving you but you were killing me.
~This world is gonna burn, burn burn burn, as long as we're going down, baby you should stick around (Dark Doo Wop by MS MR)

Request 3
Play: Romeo & Juliet
Characters: Mercutio!!!
Ships/friendships: Mercutio/Tybalt, Mercutio/Benvolio, Mercutio & Romeo,

Mercutio is the bomb! I shall not have it said another way….by far the most interesting character in this play, especially in the Baz Luhrmann 1999 version (oh my god how much do I love that portrayal of Mercutio).

Mercutio says ‘if love be rough with you, be rough with love’ I imagine that came from experience….and for me I have always had a personal headcanon that Mercutio & Tybalt were ‘in love’, like it was/is an extremely complex/messy/volatile relationship but something about the other keeps drawing them back in, which would make the ending of their story even more tragic. So adding Mercutio/Tybalt would epic.

Prompts:

~Give me bad ass, sassy, snarky Mercutio in any AU
~Mercutio/Tybalt: There’s something about you that’s so fucking addictive
~Mercutio & Romeo: When the shit hits the fan I’m the first to respond . I’m also the one who told your stupid ass to keep the shit away from the fan in the first place.
~There’s you, there’s me and then there’s the craving in between
~You and I will always be unfinished business
~Maybe we are not meant to be, not yet, maybe we’re stars waiting to collide in another life.
~ Mercutio/Benvolio: I love how badasses we think we are when we’re together

Request 4
Play: Hamlet
Characters: Ophelia!!!
Ships/friendships: Ophelia/Hamlet,

I am all about Ophelia with this one, she is my favourite character in a play I am actually not that fond of, but I LIVE for Ophelia. She’s such a brilliant and tragic character, whose mental state and it’s supposed fragileness and her descent into ‘madness’ is a topic that would be very interesting to explore and translate into a modern day setting.

Prompts:

~AU Ophelia and Hamlet meet in a mental hospital (Hamlet’s been committed for believing his uncle murdered his father….you can decide why Ophelia is there.)
~“I don’t know how to stay tender with this much blood in my mouth.” I love this quote and feel it is very fitting for her. I’d like to see you spin it into the dialogue with a AU setting.
~I think I am a better ghost than I am a human being
~She is made for love but love is not made for her
~I was your cure, and you were my disease. I was saving you but you were killing me."

I'm happy with AUs in alternate time periods, humour, and crack, but equally happy with remaining in the traditional period. No graphic sex or violence. No incest, or dub/non-com Hamlet - pairings up to you - an ensemble piece would be good, I'm a fan of the golden age of detective stories 1920s, 1930s, but will be happy with whatever you write Julius Caesar - preferably only canon pairings, any characters - a political struggle in another time period would be fascinating King Lear - pairings up to you, but no-one with Lear, any characters - suggestion: the initial division of the kingdom did not go as in the play, so what happens Macbeth - canon pairings only, any characters - suggestion: the witches have such a vital part in the play, what would their role be in another time period/or what if they're main contact had been with another character Romeo & Juliet - pairings up to you, any characters - suggestion: were R&J doomed from the beginning or could it have worked out, would it have worked out in another time? Or, I saw Matthew Bourne's Romeo & Juliet last year and anything based on that would be awesome, but that's a long shot.

Likes: friendship, queerplatonic relationships, aromantic-spectrum and/or asexual-spectrum characters, polyamory, exploration of anything outside the heteroromantic normative couple relationship. I am happy for any ship that I put down with a "/" below to be explored as queerplatonic/non-normative relationship. I am also very happy for you to genderbend/genderswap any and all characters.

Happy for you to go wild with time periods - I'm very into modern productions of Shakespeare so I am writing most of my prompts with this in mind, will specify differently in the individual prompt.

Dislikes: reinforcing gender stereotypes, the word "lover", graphic sex/smut, the phrase "just friends".

Triggers and DNWs: I am fortunate to have no triggers, but I would please like no graphic sex, and no hardcore kink. A bit of light BDSM is fine but anything beyond that - no thanks.

Request 1: Hamlet - something focussing on Laertes would be fantastic. Maybe something about Laertes and Hamlet growing up, and how their relationship changes from childhood to teenagerhood to young adulthood.

What if Hamlet is a trans boy, but doesn't realise this until Laertes goes to uni? Laertes goes away and comes back to find everything changed.

Or, alternatively, I would love an AU where the youngsters don't die, and Ophelia and Horatio become the most sensible rulers in the history of the kingdom. What happens to Laertes and Hamlet and what ships (if any) are present is up to you - see my general likes and dislikes. Happy with polyamorous takes on this!

Failing any of this - Hamlet and Horatio are my forever boys, anything about them is good with me.

Request 2: For this one, I am open to both modern and historical takes. Feel free to change settings to other wars (real or metaphorical).
Macbeth - I have seen this played as Macbeth being very obviously a sub - someone who is very competent as a soldier and general but as soon as he is with his wife, he becomes a different person. So something along those lines - I feel like they have such a strong bond and their relationship works so well for them, I would love to see that explored more.

Failing that, something about Banquo and how him and Macbeth became friends would also be nice. Maybe he helped Macbeth through the grieving process when the Macbeths lost their child(ren)?

Request 3: Open to any historical period takes on this.
The Winter's Tale - Something focussing on Paulina would be great. She's such an amazing female character and yet no one ever talks about her!

Request 4: I feel Victorian/Edwardian period works very well for this play, but am happy with more modern takes as well - further back into history, not so much.
Twelfth Night - This is the go-to polyamory, go wild with your ships etc. prompt. Trans!Viola is a pretty standard prompt, and one I am always down for, but what about genderfluid Sebastian?
Something that explores Sebastian and Olivia's relationship would be great. They get married but barely know each other, how do they make it work? What happens when they go on a double date with Orsino and Viola?

Or maybe Sebastian was quite happy with Antonio but doesn't realise what he's missing until he's gone. It would be great to have the three of them in an arrangement that makes them all happy - up to you what it is!

Apart from and in addition to these, I always love conversations between Viola and Sebastian - about Illyria, their lives, their lovers, everything. What are their lives like three months, six months, a year after the events of the play?

Request 5: A Midsummer Night's Dream - I have seen this at the Bridge Theatre where they swapped the roles of Titania and Oberon and so Oberon got to have an interlude with Bottom with Titania and Puck looking on. Also Demetrius and Lysander had some chemistry going on - awkward chemistry, but it was there - and the girls kissed "goodbye" on the lips.
What I'm saying is: this is the play to explore for anything that turns the norms on their head. OT4 young Athenians, genderswapping, Theseus fancying Bottom when the play is performed, Hippolyta getting off with Titania... whatever you like, just make it queer and fun.
