Hello lovely groundlings! I hope you are all well on the way with writing your stories for people, or at least have an idea about what you want to do and just need to find time to transfer it from your head to the page.

This might also be the time where people get ready to post their stories. Currently the deadline is:


OCTOBER 21, 2017, 23.59 GMT. What time is that for me?


So I thought it would be good to make a reminder post about how to do it. I've included screenshots so am putting this under a cut for length. I've set the collection to "open" and "unrevealed" so people can post their fics, and they won't be seen by anyone except me until the reveal. Many thanks to those who already got their stories in! Relax, lovelies!



1. Log into AO3.

2. Go to http://archiveofourown.org/collections/stage_of_fools_2017.

3. Click "Post to collection". Please ignore that the images are from last year; Snipping Tool just crashed five times in a row on my PC.




4. Enter your fic title, ratings, pairings, notes, etc. Where it says "Gift this work to:" please enter the name of your recipient.




5. Put the text of your fic into the "Work text" box. Click "Preview" to see a preview of how it will display on the archive. You might need to make formatting changes before the final posting so that it looks nice, so be sure to use this. Once you are happy with everything, click "Post" to post to the collection!





I hope this makes sense, and enables you to post your fics. If you have any technical trouble with doing this, or if you are running a bit behind schedule and would like an extension, please let me know.
